Are the metal kind of retainers comfortable?

I'm worried when I get retainers that they will be uncomfortable.

Well, I've never had retainers, but I've heard that the metal ones are more durable, and will last longer, because plastic ones crack and will have to be replaced.

They are comfortable, after you get use to them which will be about a day or two. The first day for me they kind of hurted my back teeth, but thats all. I dont eat with mine and dont worry you wont have too. Just do everything you normally do and ALWAYS wear them because your teeth really will get gaps if you dont wear them.
