They are sold at d**k's for $70-120, the listed "features" on one are- * Maple construction

* Finished wood grip

* Stainless steel joint

* 13 mm tip with professional taper

* Fiber ferrule with LePro leather tip

* Interchangeable weight bolts available separately (allows adjustability from 19-21 oz)

* Length: 58 in

if not, what is a good cue for around $100, this will be my first "decent" cue and I have no intention of making it a $250+ purchase.

  1. I would recommend one of the low end viking or mc dermott cues over the fatts cue. They are much better made and will probably play a lot better. You can pick one up for right around a hundred bucks or maybe even less if you shop around a little. I would also get a hard case for it. Those nylon cases just don't provide enough protection. You can get a hard tube case at wal mart for around ten bucks.The last i knew viking and mc dermotts both came with a warranty. You probably won't get that with the fatts cue. Just my opinion but i think you'd be a lot better off even if you have to spend another 20 or 25 bucks.

  2. Honestly...No.  Fatt's cues are cheaply made and one who knows about cues can just look at them and tell.  Their is nothing wrong with starting out with low-end cues...obviously most of us started out that way, but if i were u, i'd look 2 c if i could find a used Falcon or even Mcdermott.  I have two custom cues and i love em but you'll definately spend more than a bill for them.  Good luck.
