  1. If you want the p.c. answer then-  yes of course you should name your children whatever you want.

    If you want the realistic answer - the child is likely to get the p**s taken out of them... especially Tyrone...

  4. Warren, yes, it's actually quite common. I've never come across a child called 'Tyrone' in Ireland, but if you're going to name a child 'Clare' or 'Kerry', why not 'Tyrone'?

  7. Legal, but to my way of thinking uninspired.  Remember that people do make judgements about students and job applicants based on issues like names - I'm aware it's unfair and not totally rational, but they do.

    Choosing a name is a big responsibility for parents, so do it well!
