Are the names really awful?

Question

My husband's co-workers made fun of him several times now for our twins names.

Graham Rune & Parker Ryan

My husband's middle name is Parker.

Rune like a Rune stone, and it goes with Ryan.

Our twins are 4 months old. It is upsetting when your husband comes home and complains that his coworkers harassed him over the names of your babies.

My friend named her twins girls Purity Storme & Lyla Rain and her older daughter is Atreyu and she does not get made fun of for her kids names.. I do not see what is so off the wall and wrong with Graham Rune & Parker Ryan.

Those names are fine!  They likely pick on him because he takes it so hard.  My husband and I named our daughter Phoenix Alexandria and our son will be named after Carl Sagan - Carl Edward.  People tease us all the time.  I don't really care.  The people that really matter like the names and love my kids so the rest can eat it LOL.

I think those names are very strong and I LOVE RUNE!  Totally a modern classic to come!

I think they are cute, I am not crazy about Rune for a middle name- but who cares?  What matters is that you and your husband like the names.

Seriously, those names are not something you could make fun of, especially as an adult. They aren't uncommon or outlandish. Not even misspelled. I don't see what their problem is.

Purity Storme, Lyla Rain and Atreyu on the other hand. Wow. Just wow.

Wasn't Atreyu the boy in The Neverending Story? Excuse me if I laugh.

i think the middle name Rune is a bit unusual and it seems a little odd, Graham is a nice name.  but the name Parker i've heard a few times and  i think it's a nice name.  i think that the girls would get made fun of more, Purity?  i wouldn't like to have that name, and i would hate to have a middle name "Storme", Lyla is all right, but i wouldn't like the name Rain.  

your kids first names are nice, i don't see why they're getting made fun of, and his Coworkers need to grow up a little, it's ok to say something about the names once, as long as it's not mean, but to be making fun of them after 4 months, that's just right.

I think that Graham and Parker are good names.  There is no reason for your husband's co-workers to make fun of them. They definately are wonderful, adorable names.

maybe the next time someone makes a rude comment, tell them they can name their own children as they please and he will do the same. never heard of rune before. but nothing wrong with graham and parker ryan.

There is always going to be a critic, that's just the way life goes. Personally, I don't think the names are awful. I have never heard the name Rune, but it is interesting and unique. Don't worry about what others think, if you and your husband like the names you chose that's all that matters.

No they are great names and your kids are blessed to have such wonderful names!!! I really like PArker Ryan and Graham Rune flows very well together and with Parker!!! They are your kids and what counts is you like the names! do not worry what other people think.

you are an adult - please do not let this get to you.  people have their opinions.  you cannot be so sensitive.  who cares what other people think?  if you like the names, then that's all that counts.  so relax and stop wasting your time thinking about what others are saying about the names you chose.
