Are the new slim PSP's easy to mod?

I was thinking of buying a new psp since the screen of my old one was broke. My last one was modded and it was fairly easy, being one of the launched psp's. My bro tells me that the newer psp's are harder to mod because to override the firmware that it comes with, you have to buy something but I wanted to get others opinions. Is it as easy as downloading and installing a firmware or is it more difficult... i'm thinking of buying a new psp slim.

It is more difficult. But you dont have to buy anything but you can. To mod the slim you need to have a pandoras battery and magic memory stick, the battery is a regular psp battery that has been modded to downgrade psps. The pandoras battery can be made two ways. 1. You can softmod the battery using an already modded psp. Or 2. You can hardmod the battery by opening it and making some changes. If you do not want to open the battery or do not have a modded psp you can buy one online from sites like ebay. And the magic memory stick is just a regular memory stick that you put some files on to work with the battery. If you need more info you can email me
