Are the olympics coming to USA anytime soon?

i know 2012 is london but i heard 2016 may be chicago, anyone know or know where i can find this info?

Chicago is running against Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro. The final decision will be Oct, 2nd 2009 when the IOC members vote.

Other USA cites have expressed intent to host the 2020 or 2024 games if the Chicago bid fails.

Chicago is one of the 5 cities in the final run down, with other bids from place like Rio and Madrid.

I would put my money on Rio personally as it has never been in South America.

Well no beacause the 1996 olympics were in Atlanta and each countrie needs a turn and America will get them again in say 50 years hope this helps

They have to bid against other countries and win the right to host the Olympics.
