  1. No. Anyone with a low income job in the developed world may not be able to afford a lot of luxuries, but are still far better off than people in under-developed areas of the world. Without people who are forced to work for pennies, the lifestyle most Americans enjoy would not be possible. It's more like economic pillars of people supporting one another, and some are unfortunate enough to be placed at the bottom.

  2. In the USA there is a mind set by half the country that it is good for people to have to work for little & pay much for things like gasoline. One half of the country wants things to be fair...A person becomes a slave because of their thoughts. They are doing the best they can do but can't see any possibilites....I decided to work at a hospital last year in the house cleaning dept. When I quit after 6 months because the work load was tremedous, the people were back stabbers, they wouldn't give me a raise & I was risking disease, etc....I have a really good way of manifesting what I want in life. I tried to get the people to work together to make the job nicer but they were hateful to each other. So they were slaves but refused to make any changes to improve. I watched people who said they would go back to school to get out of the dept. end up giving up on doing that. They were too exhausted to go to school after running around for 8 hrs. a day. They were constantly criticized & it was a horrible environment. I needed to have a snack in the afternoon & by blood sugar level got so low one day I was passing out while working in an emergency dept.!!!! but I wasn't allowed to stop for a bite to eat...I was free to leave but the people I left behind don't believe they are. They don't know how they would pay their bills. They don't know where they would go & work that would be any better...I coached one person there & she got a job near her house which was important to her because her car is so old...She gave her 2 weeks notice. The people told her all kinds of reasons why the new job wouldn't work out...Well, she worked about 2 days & they were right...she let others put something in her mind to make her feel she was stuck & had to stay at the hospital job. They will quit there & they end up coming back. So in a sense this people are slaves. If we look deeper at it though. They are the power & control of their lives. If the person I was helping really was determined to move up she would have. The new job could have allowed her more time to think clearly cause it was a quiet job & she could have thought her way to an even better job but she was a slave to her thoughts...there are some greedy rich in this country who are well aware of this & want to oppress people so this has become worst in the past few years because they are getting more support.

  3. A long time ago, there was one royal family, and ALL the villagers were effectively their slaves...

  4. I don't think so... please do not develop such thinking... in today's world no one is slave to any one!! If your current job is making you think like this please quit the job as quickly as possible... but kindly ensure you have another job with you before you quit....

On the side note career planning is very for everyone everywhere... see if you can spend some time on some career planning... try all this... who knows you may also make lots of $$$$$

  5. No they are not slaves.  The difference is freedom of choice. . .they have a choice to better themselves and get a better paying job.  Slaves, serfs, peons, all had no choice in the matter. . .they were either born or forced into it.

  6. Is this really a philosophy question?!

  7. The answer is yes --only for them who are mean by heart & blind of

truth . For any sensible person or any human being(to be more specific) it is a sin to think like this!

  8. I know people who are filthy rich, yet they are slaves to their riches. They can't enjoy their life , their only concern is how to acquire more and more money and products....

Freedom is an inner situation.  Even if the income is low, a man can feel free to live their life, enjoy the little joys of life, love, laugh, go places even if it is not Hawaii...  No one can be slave if their heart , soul and mind are free.
