I have purchased Heartgard through my vet and from a Site on line in the UK. The box is identical....I am just wanting to be sure my pet is protected. I have also ordered Frontline. Are these meds legitimate?

  1. they are the same.  I have been using pet meds purchased online through canada for two years.  The only difference is that the weight on the packages is in kg instead of pounds as Canada is on the metric system.  They are by the same manufacturer.

  2. Yes, they are the same, I have been getting my heartworm and flea preventative for my dogs from a source in Australia for years.  It's cheaper and exactly the same thing.

Same with human meds, the U.K. negotiates with drug companies, so they cost less than they do in the U.S.

    It's a shame, but a fact.
