I have been planning to ship the Traveling Piano truck to China but now I am wondering if it might wiser to purchase a Chinese truck and equip it there. I must consider travel in rural as well as urban areas as well as the logistical needs and costs for the creation of new equipment... a musical, sound, power, and weather protection setup etc... for more information see...

  1. If you can buy a diesel-engine pick-up truck.  Then it will be more fuel efficient.  But the Chinese government subsidizes gasoline in China.  And it's probably cheaper there than it is in USA.

Depending on your shipping costs.  It might be cheaper to buy a truck in China, use it, and then sell it there when you no longer need it.

Also, if you bring an american truck model that isn't normally sold in China.  Then you may have a lot of problems with servicing and repairing your truck in China due to unavailability of parts and lack of Chinese language repair manuals for your model.
