  1. There are international standards which govern the quality of aircraft all over the world. Any country which breaches these standards will not be permitted to let such aircraft fly. There is no discrimination in standards between developed and developing countries.

  2. No, most planes are of good quality. Especially coming in and out of developed and developing countries. Int`l flights require certain criteria to enter other airspace around the world. The quality aspect is more in reference to the qualifications of the crew to know int`l procedures and clearances.

Domestic flights might have low quality planes due to the regulations of the country they are made and flown in. Russia for years has had a checkered record pertaining to their commercial aircraft. They are a developed country, so there goes the notion of developed verses undeveloped.

  3. No.  They are all fine.

  4. It's hard to say.  If they fly into the US, which is where I'm guessing you live since you didn't say, they have to follow the US rules.  The FAA can and does inspect foreign aircraft that arrive in the US.  If they stay in the other country, they have to follow their rules.  Many non-US airlines have very poor safety records.  It's not the aircraft, generally, since most are made in Western countries.  It's the pilot training and maintenance.  And, there is pressure on pilots and mechanics and others to complete flights, even when the conditions are not safe.  This also happens in the US, but not to the same extent.  That's why many US pilots join unions, as following the FAA rules could still be less than safe.

  5. Yes. They are all right. International flights will have the qualifications of all the countries it flies into, whearas domestic flights will have a considerably lower standards in developing countries. Look at Air Jamaica. a few years ago the US almost barred all their flights into the US because of their horribly maintained Airbus fleet.

  6. Why would you say that?

  7. Poor countries might have older planes in disrepair, but most airlines know there is no profit in crashed planes and try to use the best equipment they have.
