Question pretty much says everything. iIm wondering if the authentic footall shirts the players in the Premier League wear on the pitch have their name and number on the back printed, or if they are a fabric material stitched on the back. I really want to know, points for best answer.

  1. They are actually neither - they are put under a machine known as a heat press which bonds them to the shirt.

This is the website for the company which supplies most of the well-known teams and leagues:

  2. If someone wanted, they could get them stitsched but they are usually screen printed. there is no such rule.

  3. its a jersey made with the # in it all same material

  4. Players names and numbers are screen printed onto football shirts. This is the same procedure used when you purchase a shirt and number/name printing from a retail store.

  5. They used to be stitched but I dont think they are anymore. There are many significant differences in a player issued shirt and a standard replica. EG on some shirts the club badges are stitched and the replicas are printed, The player shirts are made elsewhere, and this applies to nike shirts, on the label inside the bottom of the shirt it will have CODE 7 on it which means its a player issue
