  2. Yes, everyone who plays in the touney gets paid. The winner this year will receive approx. US$1.4 Million. The players are paid as a per-round basis, with the deeper rounds worth more and more. These players get paid a hefty sum for participating plus a small extra payment for ammenities in each round. The players who lose the first round of Wimbledon gets a check for US$20,000, this just emphasizes the "you lose, you cruise" motto of the grandslams.
