Because when I stayed in London (Canary Wharf) for the first time I brought my cell phone, and I noticed the plugs were different. Is it the same for all over England or was it just that one place?

  1. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland uses its own unique plug system so were ever you go in Britain or Ireland you will always have those 3 pin plugs wheather your in London, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin or Edinburgh where ever you are you use those plugs. There are 5 areas were the plug is in use, England, Wales, Scotland and NI(THE U.K.)  and the part of Ireland which dosent belong to Britain. You would be able to buy the U.S and Canada plug to U.K plug convertor in most U.S airports or when you arrive in any U.K. airport or in most supermarkets like ASDA (WALMART IN BRITAIN), TESCOS.

Ive taken off from Newark and JFK airports with British Airways and Americans and the terminals have these adapters widely on show. I was in NYC not so long ago.

  2. all over the Uk we use 3 pin plugs, but you should be able to by travel adapters to suit the UK sockets, which will allow your items to work

  3. Since you don't say where you're from, it's difficult to say whether they're different in England.

Britain and Ireland have a different system to everywhere else but as long as your electrical appliances run on 220-240V you can get an adapter in airport shops.

If you have 110V you will have problems.
