Are the polar ice caps going to melt soon??

I just watched "the day after tomorrow" and i looked online and theres all these stories that theyre going to melt in 2012, or 50 years from now! is this true?

well they will eventually if we don't stop it. i am very big on global warming, and i plan to start a global warming awareness business when i am older
