  1. Blasphemy?  I doubt it.  More like SATIRE.  The image of Mohammed is representative of many Middle Eastern countries just like the guy in the blue coat and the red/white striped top hat (Uncle Sam) is representative of the USA.  And there is the portly fellow in the boots, riding pants, and waistcoat (John Bull) who represents England.

The satire isn't always intended to poke fun at a religious figure.  It is the fault of the Moslems that they dress like Mohammed and then are too wound up in religious ferver to realize the satire isn't about Mohammed, it is about THEM.

  2. I think that Muslims who are bent out of shape over the cartoons think entirely too little of their religion.  If it can't stand the scrutiny of satire, then it is just a house of cards ready to fall.

  3. Oh go and find a sense of humour!  Who cares about blasphemy or Muslims for that matter?!  Why is it OK to make fun of other political and religious (Western) groups but not the d**n Muslim lot?!  I mean come on, these people are always out in the street shouting nonsense and burning the US or UK flag, sometimes they even do it here in England, but we just put up with it and yet they cannot even cope with a few cartoons - pathetic!

If I got upset every time some foreigner made fun of the British I would be out there threatening to murder every five minutes.  It is a joke, a bit of harmless fun and these Muslims should get over themselves and stay out of our countries if they cannot manage a sense of humour once in a while.  They are always so serious and downright boring!  I am sick of hearing about them and what they have to say.  We hear it all the time and it is getting really annoying now and excessively dull.

I voted to keep the cartoons and will not be dictated to by some psychotic Muslim who wants to kill someone just because they share a different view.

If you cannot take Western ways then just stay in the rat hole you crawled out of!

  4. The definition of blasphemy is to credit the work of the Holy Spirit to an evil source.

I doubt any political cartoon is really concerned with the Holy Spirit.

Making political statements or cartoons involving religious leaders or prophets is therefore by definition not blasphemous.

  5. I just voted to keep them 100 times

its a cartoon, why does Islam have such a thin skin??

a cartoon is not real, it does no one harm

but yet there are a bunch of Muslims that want to murder

    someone for drawing a cartoon???

  6. these muslims have their towels rap to tight...If theyre killing their own people because of a stupid cartoon..then i guess their not as smart or intelligent enough to understand that prophet muhammed died centries ago, they ought to stop the violence and get their act together.
