Are the pore stips for your nose actually bad for you?

I was told they remove the blackheads, but then they leave the pores open for more to get in. I don't necessarily believe this. I find that they work very well to remove the black heads. Usually I splash some cold water on my face to help them close back up, does this actually help? And do the pore strips really just make things worse in the long run?

I've used them for 4 years and they're fine for me. My pores haven't gotten any bigger.

They work just fine for me, and I splash cold water on my face as well. I'm sure as long as you close your pores again, you'll be fine.
