I am suprising my boyfriend with a trip to Minneapolis in a couple of weeks for his birthday. He is 6'4 and 300 pounds. I want him to have the time of his life by experiencing the MOA, shopping and rides. Will he have difficulty fitting in these rides? If so, which ones will he be okay in?

  1. I'm 6'3" and 250. It's tight, but doable.

  2. At Mall of America, Camp Snoopy is aimed at kids more so than adults.  So, they don't keep the size restrictions in mind as much.

From my experience, at 300 lbs, he may have difficulty experiencing at least some of the rides there (and there aren't that many).

It is certainly worth the trip though, unless the rides were your only goal...  and then it may not be.

  3. no ride manufacturer makes a larger than regulated size seat in any ride. There just has never been a deamnd for it. Like the big and tall shops they would probably have to have parks specifically made for this. I have been a carnys for 19 years and my bros just tell the person they are too big to save them the trouble of being a spectacle as the fire department has to get them out.

  4. I would try calling the MOA and asking someone or doing some more research to some of the capacity limits for rides.  It would be ashame for you to get there and not be able to experience everything that you want to.  I think that 300lb is really pushing it if it's not already over the limit for a ride.  (As a refrence, the weight limit on most at home exercise machines is 250 lbs)
