If you study the lineage of Queen Elizabeth ,you will find that all her ancestors are German.Since the 18th century ,from Geroge I to Geroge II to GerogeIII to IV to .....they all married German consort,no English.

Now,the queen's husband,Prince Philip is a Greek prince,but actually he carries no Greek genes.Most of his ancestors came from Germany ,just the same as his wife.
