Are the salads in Mac donalds Healthy?

  1. the salads themselves are pretty healthy, but the dressing makes it more caloric than a burger

    macdonalds has a reputation for being unhealthy....so no...i dont think the salads are heathly

    it the dressing that makes it bad for you

    the amount of calories in the ranch they can give you has the same calories as ordering a regular cheeseburger

    so see if they have light versions

    of just use your own light dressing from home

    The Salad Comes With A Ceaser Dressing Which Is In A Packet, So You Can Add None Or As Much As You Need.

    Although It Does Contain Some Calories, You Have a Choice To Add Or Without.

  15. The 'salad' part of it will be but the fried reconstituted chicken won't be. This always cracks me up - why would you go to a fast food company that is well known for selling trashy food and order a salad. Don't you just love McD's!!!!

  16. absolutely not. it even has higher calories than the bigmac i believe. Its actually the dressing and extra stuff they put into the salad that does this. you can't really go there and eat salad everyday to expect to lose weight. if you are trying to lose weight, running is the best way. Start off at a short distance, run 1 mile constantly. Then slowly increase your mileage everyday. You will barely notice you added more miles. When people say to lift weights and everything like that, you are most likely to quit. It doesn't keep the adrenaline rushing as much since you aren't as active. And you are closer to a source of food and so you give yourself "prizes." You should try to run at least four miles in a day by the end of the month. Never skip days. I ran everyday that if I even tried to slip a day it felt like I was sinful. I lost 50 lbs in three months when I started to run in January of this year, in time for my trip to Greece in March with my high school. Then, once you lose that belly fat you can try getting abs. For food, keep portions small. Just decrease your portion sizes slowly so your body can't adjust. I get really full eating half of what I usually eat now. And don't drink soda. Diet Pepsi is not an option. Drink more water since it helps you get full faster. Juices should be limited too because of their sugar content. Other than that, if you are eating fast food everyday change it, but don't get rid of it altogether. Try decreasing it to every other day then every two days, then every three days, until you get to having it once  a week. Then get rid of it. What I noticed was portion size helped more than tracking healthy foods. The only reason you should avoid fast food is because there is no control to the portion you receive and you are tempted to eat it. So if you are going to McDonalds just get the BigMac. It isn't as bad as the salad.

  18. I don't think so. If they're anything like burger king, they put stickers on the container of when it should be sold by and once that time is up they rip off the stick, pick out the bad lettuce, but some good lettuce in and put a new sticker on it and sell it.

  19. Its McDonalds, and they have the same qualities of salads at other fast food resurant, the meat they put in them is not good for you though

  20. without the dressing yes and without the fried chicken. you are better off eating a plain hamburger or fajita from there than the salads with fried chicken and dressing

  23. sure if you don't put any dressing your fine... just like all salads can be healthy... no dressing and or make your own dressing.... light dressing may sound healthy cuz it says light/ lite but ppl tend to put more of light cuz its light.... hahaha its funny! but yea all salads any where can be healthy... just no dressing and make sure the chicken is not fried and or if you got to pick steak and other types of meat get chicken...
