Question:

Are the seasons really weird at the equator?

So in the southern hemisphere, the seasons are opposites of what they are in the northern hemisphere...what about at the equator?

I mean, it's not like when you cross the line, the seasons instantly are reversed, there has to be a 'fuzzy zone' right? How are the seasons there?

  1. Well what I understand is that right at the equator, north and south of it, is really warm. Whether you live north or south of it, the closer to it you are, the warmer climate you live in, so I think that if you're right on it, or near it, your temperatures year 'round are going to be summer like conditions. Also, interesting fact, did you know that south of the equator, the toilets don't flush the same way as ours here north of the equator? They flush upwards instead of down! I'm serious!

  2. At the equator, there are not really seasons as far as temperature goes, but there can be a rainy season (or possibly two) as the sun moves north or south of the equator.
