Are the second-hand or used products sold on e-bay advisable to buy?

Have u ever bought any thing from e-bay? I wanna buy a cell phone from e-bay,but i am in a doubt wheather it will be as good as they have promised it to be! Will it turnout to be a defective piece? shall i buy it or not and are there any bad case scenerio of it ? plz help!!!!

Read the page thorougly. If they put in the ad that it is a working cell phone, you get it and it doesn't work. You are entitled to a refund or exchange. My boyfriend has bought used computers and computer parts off of ebay and they work pretty well. One time he bought a battery without reading the page. Turns out the battery doesn't work and the guy said so in the ad. So that is why I recommend reading the ad and see the specs. You can also email the seller and ask questions. If you have any problems you can contact the seller if they don't give you satisfactory results you can contact ebay and file a grievance.

Another suggestion is look at their rating and read what other people have to say about a seller. If people consistanty say one thing about a seller (even in good or nuetral ratings) such as slow to ship, product not as specified, etc keep that in mind when buying from someone.

Also some businesses sell off of ebay. You can look for those as well.

You take your chances buying anything used from anywhere. I've boughten many things on Ebay. For the most part I've been very satisfied.

so far,my experience with ebay is great bargains!from shoes,to dress,movies even foods!some problem mostly is the courier with delayed deliveries.i advice u not to trust much on these electronic items unless they offer a warranty on the product and it has a return policy.i havent tried electric items coz i dont wanna go complaining and yet no exchange/returns.u can take the risk ,just make sure of its seller's warranty on the item.goodluck!happy ebaying~~

Read Read and Reread before you buy make sure that what they say . is what you are looking for. and read, there feed back page make sure that they are not getting allot of negative feedback.  I have personally had very few problems buying anything off of EBay. From electronics Jewelry to vehicle's..Everything has been as they have described even if you have to ask them questions before you buy or bid on the item .....
