Are the shops and restaurants open in Paris on Good Friday?

Want to go to Paris over Easter, but want to know if the shops and restaurants will be open on Good Friday otherwise it will be a wasted journey. If it's just the major shops that's fine.

  1. The French have this wonderful habit of celebrating feast days and holidays, holding festivals and street parties where copious amounts of wine are drunk, songs sung and fillies frolicked with.

    Unlike the British who gladly carry on doing the boring things like taking mum shopping.

    A nation of shopkeepers? more like a nation of shoppers!


  2. All open on Good Friday. Nothing open on Easter Monday as it's our bank holiday. Enjoy your trip.

  3. Many are closed ...some are open.

    It's hit and miss.
