Question:

Are the underage allegations just proof of the fact the US team are sore losers?

I am sure if they had won the gold, there wouldn't be nearly this much hoopla about this underage thing. Much worse (such as bad judges) has happened in past Olympiads. Isn't all this just the fact that the Americans basically gave the gold medal in gymnastics away from so many errors and are too bitter?

And yes I live in the USA so dont start calling me some unpatriotic terrorist.

  1. NO they are not poor losers!  Cheating is still cheating and that is what they are doing.  Were they better then the US Team?  No I think that given the fact that a 14 year old would be more flexible and agile than a 16 year old… and being that the rule states the youngest age is 16!  And this is not because I am a US citizen.

The Chinese female diver who won the gold deserved it and then some.  Also the gymnast that was given a (0) because she started her routine before the light went green deserved the (0).    The athlete who was not happy with the bronze and left the podium had the bronze taken from him…even he deserved having it taken because of poor sportsmanship.

What can be done?  Maybe nothing it’s a little late.  It is however a real shame that the Olympic Committee was blind to this from the start.  And I don’t want to hear about loosing face… That’s bull!  The entire Olympic committee needs to have a major overhaul and they should be ashamed that this has occurred! AND need to take accountability for all of this upset.

Personally, I think the medals should be taken from them and have no GOLD awarded, let the silver be the gold and the bronze be the silver…but hey that’s just my idea.

  2. I think so, the "great" American got beat by some 12 or 13 year old girls!

    Shame Shame!

  3. As an American, I believe that the World was cheated by China because of the fact they broke the rules with athletes younger than the age limit put forth by the IOC.  We're all getting screwed by the IOC because it seems they may have been "strongarmed" by the politburo, secret police or the "chairman" himself before the games into believing that China's athletes are of age and that the judges should favor China, otherwise face sanctions, possible "reprogramming", discipline, or expulsion from the games.

Anyone that is blind to those facts and don't know how communist governments operate should start learning about them and how they utilize shady practices to get what they want.

The ugly, prepubescent, yellow snaggletooth Chinese "girls" gymnastic team don't know what's up because the government lied to them about the age limit, but were required to have those crusty, cheesy smiles as prescribed by the communists.  If they did not smile as ordered or tried to act more mature than their age of 10-13, then their pet dogs would be kidnapped and eaten in Bejing's finest restaurants.....  "No Gold Medal, no more Fido....."

Also, to those that did not watch the games or know anything about scoring in gymnastics, the Chinese have dull and uninteresting routines and apparatuses that are just not exciting.  Japan, USA, Germany and Russia are risk takers and should have gotten higher scores because they completed the required elements, but added higher risk moves too.  China also made more mistakes, missteps during landings and had flexed arms or legs when they should have been straighter.  The World's countries made less mistakes but were docked points for them while China kept their scores intact, with mistakes.....  Anyone that watched it, but denies China received favors from the judges are blind and cannot see clearly.....

  4. No, I don't think they are being sore losers.  The allegations were brought up before the Olympics began.  Yes, the US made mistakes, but they still took the Silver!  China is a communist country where they will do whatever it takes to win and look good in the public eye, especially at the Olympics!  Didn't you all hear of the girls at the opening ceremonies?  One was not cute enough, so they had another lip sync the song!  She apparently was a cuter 9 year old!!

  5. Well for one, without the major mistakes. They still would have lost. It's sad but, it's true.

Two. I heard about the allegations about the underage girls WAY before the team competition. So I don't think so.

I'm not saying they aren't bitter about losing but, I don't think they were unhappy with the silver. They all had comments saying things like "A silver medal in the Olympics is GREAT!"

  6. Yep sore losers !

    I agree with Yvonne.

If anybody has been in contact with Chinese people over a period of time you will know that girls and boys can be very small boned and look MUCH younger than their western counterparts.

Yes the Chinese can lie , cheat etc......so does the US with the steroids....remember lol ?????????????

The Americans are not crooked now ?? News to the world !

But never mind........the athletes were better.

Romania cheats too.........but nobody pays attention to them !!

It is a USA/China competition.....on a global level shall we say.

There is more underneath. The US is not going to last as superpower and calling Chinese "commies" etc when actually via proportion of population : a lot more poor people are getting richer in China whilst it s the opposite in the US..

@lol at Koala.....the racism he shows......boy !! must have been rejected by a few Asian gals !

  7. I think it's hilarious. It's such a sore spot for whining Americans that you can rub it in for years.

  8. I think it is the US media who is making the deal out of it and not the fans of the sport. I say put up, shut up and quit whining. They are a bunch of big babies

  9. No, did you watch the gymnastics venue?  The first thing that came to mind when I saw the Chinese team is that they looked younger than my 11 y/o son. Would I want to challenge them on this point? -heck no, because of what you are suggesting - sore losers or sour grapes.  However, it takes a lot of courage to confront this issue, but a violation is a violation whether it is done by the Olympic host country's team or not.  We do not suppress our freedom of speech or thought because of fear of retribution.

  10. No. At least not me. I couldn't care who won. The Chinese are good. Yes, that is true. On talent alone, they deserve the first place. However, there are rules and athletes have to follow the rules.

An athlete who gets to the finish line first is a winner but if he used drugs, it will not count because he violated the rules.

  11. Unfortunatly the "buzz" started well before the Olympics, espcially in my household!  Lol!  I have been saying for years they look much younger then the age listed on the screen.  But you are probobly correct if they Americans had won they would not be making such a bid deal.  But at the same time it is human nature to want to expose someone if you thought they only won because they cheated.

  12. It's funny how they cry about underage conspiracies when a famous skater by the name of Tara Lipinski was only 15 when she competed in the winter Games for the American team.

  13. It proves that Democracy is much better than Socialism/Communism =).

Those kids are obviously forced by the government to do Gymnastics at an early age..so they had to fake it, to make it.

  14. yes they are sore losers...the only reason they do this is because if  they prove it the gold medal is taken from china and awarded to the US so i mean yea their deff. doin it because their sore losers

  15. So cheating is acceptable to you?  If the roles were reversed I expect you would be calling the US cheaters.  The US has long dominated the Olympic games, everyone else is trying to catch up.  This Olympics is of utmost importance to the Chinese, they must win at all costs on their home field and they will do anything to prove their superiority.  We have been proving our superiority since the modern games began.  Why would we be concerned with one event while we own the Water Cube and will school the world in track and field, basketball, beach volleyball and so many other events?

add:  Russia has never beaten us, the former Soviet Union with their genetically enhanced athletes and state of the art steroids competed back and forth and China has only been involved since 2000, the US owns the modern games.

The real fact is US athletes and most of those from around the world, train for the fun of competing they are not sponsored, their mothers drive them to and from practice at 4 in morning, they sweat and cry and get injured for the love of the game.  If you have done anything as self-sacrificing and noble as these kids I would be shocked beyond words, to call them poor sports makes me want to beat until you cry like Alicia Sacramoni did, simply because she let down her team.  The Soviet Union and now China take children as young as 3 away from their families and send them to government controlled training camps not for the glory of sport but for the glory of the state. The Chinese compete for a nice apartment to grow old in and never having to work in the factories.  Most American (and French and Canadian and Australian) will never get any reward for their role except that of competing against the worlds best.

Its not just a Yahoo article there is a ton of evidence and the truth will come out and when the truth comes out can I expect an e-mail from you apologizing for ridiculing little girls who just wanted a fair game?

Add again:  So our girls go 1-2 in the individual all-arounds and they're not the best in the world?  Anymore S**t you wanna talk typical sox fan?

  16. No. Concerns and questions about He Kexin's age began BEFORE China won, BEFORE the games began, BEFORE the New York Times article, and BEFORE the Chinese team was even announced!

  17. Exactly and this is why US WON the gold in the 2007 Gymnastic Championship and the hooplah wasn't even an issue.

  18. I think the Chinese won fair and square.

Age controversy put aside, the USA couldn't deliver.

  19. maybe they should make it fair that china gets stripped of their gold and america shouldnt get rewarded with it because of their mistakes

  20. The chinese are famous for being crooked and bending the rules (like most authoritarian goverments) , from adding antifreeze to their toothpaste to the fake "singing girl" and the fake fireworks during the inaguaration. The issue of the girls has become an issue again after it was reported that news articles from the official chinse newspapers reported the real age of one of the girls a few months ago (she is like 13), and soon after the chinese gov realize of the news report, they misteriously disapeared from the net...
