Do not worry my dear Mark, there are many good people that will send all of these "war heroes" to trials and pay for the slaughtering of those thousands of little Palestinian kids in Middle East.

of course the dead are honored on memorial day. and the live ones serving in the army get discount for stuff if they wear there uniform, for example at McDonald's they get their medium doubled, for half the price.

Israel's Memorial Day is the day before Israel's Independence Day--there is an Israeli way which becomes the Jewish state. Israel does not glorify war--it is something which is required for our survival.

Absolutely.

There is such an incredible respect for the soldiers who have died, served and are serving today. There are a ton of memorials and museums all over, dedicated to the wars and their soldiers.

-Ive seen people give up their seats on buses for Soldiers who are traveling on the bus. (not that the soldiers took it)

-everywhere you go the respect for the chayalim is apparent. Its hard to describe but the nation most definatey hold soldiers in high esteem

If killing 3000 women and children in cold blood makes war heroes.

If burning orange and olive fields makes heroes

If demolishing homes makes heroes

If arresting all the males over 16 and under 60  last week in a small village near Gaza like n***s did in WWII makes heroes.

and even they  are not known in Israel so how would they be treated by the state???????
