  1. metaphor ... the bud isn't real but it is spoken of as though it is. A simile would be saying "as if a bud" or "like a bud"


  2. It's a metaphor.

    A simile is where you liken something to something else, you will always find the word like or as in a similie

    i.e. if someone were talking about their girlfriend they could say "She's like my little Juliet"

    A metaphor is where you call something by nother name i.e. "She's my Juliet"
