Are the work at home programs available on the net for data entry legitimate??

I want to work from home and have been looking at what I can do. There are lots of data entry websites that you pay for access to companies wanting people to type in advertisements for them. Is this sort of thing safe and legitimate?? I don't want to get ripped off or scammed. Has any REAL person tried this out and does it truthfully work??

Few work at home programs that available on the internet for data entry are legitimate. Most of the companies are scams. But few are legitimate & scam free. Yeah I know what you mean. Many of the data entry programs you find online are scams but some are ok. If your really interested check out http://www.squidoo.com/typingathome this site has tons of information, reviews and they have tested the programs and posted the results. Most of them are scam.. they ask for upfront payment and guarantee that you'll cover it in days.. but then they disappear.. still there are some which do work, like http://www.elance.com and http://www.guru.com are good option you can try to explore others as well.
