Are the yankees going to sell the seats from the old stadium to the public?

im a huge yankee fan

i remember when the red sox re did part of the green monster they were selling the seats

and i was wondering if i could buy one of the seats from the yankees stadium

any one heard any prices if so??

When they rebuilt the stadium thirty years ago they about gave the old seats away.  I don't think that they'll come quite so cheap this time.  Even more expensive will be those items that they have less of, like signs and such.

Short answer, if they can make a buck or two (hundred), they'll do it.

Seats will cost hundreds, but expect them to sell lockers, dirt, and pieces of concrete as well.

I know the Cardinals sold entire seats and pieces of seats from the Old Busch Stadium, at my local card store there is even a hunk of concrete from the old stadium. I would like to put a part of the Yankee Stadium Facade on the front of my house. But that would be disrespectful to baseball history. The pieces of a seat cost around 5 or 6 dollars, but it will probably be more expensive with Yankee Stadium.

Yes, everything is going to be put up for sale once the season is over.  If you want to buy something from there, be prepared to pay hundreds of dollars for just one seat.

It's so sad that they're tearing Yankee Stadium down.  :(
