  1. You can do anything you want to do.  I don't know of any pilots who stutter, but check www.stutteringhelp and see how many "Famous People" there are who stutter/stuttered.  The best thing for you to do is to learn to overcome your stuttering, and to not try to hide it.  The more you try NOT to stutter, the more you will.

    Try these resources for help:

Learn all about stuttering at www.stutteringhelp.org, your best source for information and help.

    Try these resources:

www.stutteringhelp.org  there are videos online that show speech therapists working with stutterers; watch them and learn some techniques.

Meet others who stutter here http://groups.myspace.com/stutteringfoun...

Contact The Stuttering Foundation of America as that is where our family got help. Their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" worked wonders after working through it step by step.  Part of the book can be found here http://www.mnsu.edu/comdis/kuster/Therap...

  2. as long as you have a good command of the English language, and can be understood in normal and abnormal operations, you should be fine. if it more of a stutter when something bad or unexpected happens, it might be a different story. that being said don't ever let anyone tell you, you can't.

  3. I think the chances of you earning an FAA 3rd class medical certificate are good, even if your stuttering is moderate.

    Severe stuttering, I don't know.

I personally don't know any stuttering pilots, but I know two commercial pilots who have mild Tourette's.

My advice is talk your personal doctor first, then see an Aviation Medical Examiner in person, just for a consultation. It might cost you $100 US, but it would be worth it for their opinion.

Pilots start out here in the US often without speaking much English at all, so stuttering is not that bad. Check in with those doctors.

    Best of luck!!

  4. That is a very good question that i think nobody smart can ask. After a web search my answer was," Yes there are pilots who stutter, but its best not to , but who cares what i say follow your dreams you want to stutter go stutter becuse its your goal :) "
