  1. i think so and if the blue ray is on your ps3 i think u need a cable for it

  2. Talking about the picture: There 'may' be an improvement if tje DVD version of the same movie was mastered badly. If they did everything right a DVD can offer the best possible picture for a SD TV thus making the use of the blu-ray version obsolete for playback on a SD TV.

Apart from that: A Blu-Ray Disc may offer other advantages ... whether you can or even want to take advantage of them is a different matter, but they exist:

    - Blu-Ray discs often offer audio tracks that utilize a losless compression. If you have a recent (and good) av reciever you may take advantage of this detail.

    - Blu-Ray Discs may offer different or more or less (which would be a disadvantage, but sometimes this is the case) bonus material compared to the DVD version of the same movie.

  3. None whatsoever. A Blu-Ray disc, watched on a standard def TV, will look exactly the same as a regular DVD. You need a hi-def TV to take advantage of Blu-Ray.

  4. no, u need an hd tv to see any benefit from blu-ray
