  1. Yes, there are malinois rescues, but, do be careful, most malinois end up in there because they were too much of a dog for someone else to handle.

Malinois are great WORKING dogs but they suck as pets!!http://www.malinoisrescue.org/

  2. The dogs are sometimes grouped in with German Shepherds.  These dogs are used in police training.

  3. Yes, there is a rescue group for Belgium Mal's.  I would start by visiting the Belgium Malinois Club of America website.  They will have a link for Mal rescue.  http://www.malinoisclub.com

Mal's frequently come into rescue.  I will warn you ahead of time, they are very concerned about the placement of their dogs, they will do a homecheck and interview, more than once if necessary.

  4. Google brings it right up:

  5. Here is a site on Belgian Malinois rescues in all of the states. Just scroll down to Virginia.

Or, I could just enter it in for you.

  6. Regarding the person that commented Malinois suck as pets. I have 2 Malinois rescues and the Coordinators work very hard at finding you a dog that best fits your lifestyle and dog experience. It's not usually the dog that sucks, it's the people that don't invest the time and training. Malinois are a very smart dog that need you involvment and committment to ensure they have proper exercise and mental stimulation. If you want a dog that is oh soooo greatful and loyal that you gave them a home, that they shower you with attention and affection, a dog that will defend you or your property should the need ever arise, as this dog can size up every situation and let you know when something isn't right, then you are ready for a Malinois. But if you want a dog that you will have little interaction with, as these dogs bond intensely, then it would be best to find another breed.

  7. Have you done a web search for such a rescue?

    Why don't you do that.

Also try Petfinder.com to see if they have any listed.

Good that you want to rescue not buy, hope you find one.
