Chantal Sutherland has ridden at N.Y. tracks.I believe she is at Woodbine in Canada now.

Yes there are several.  Female jockeys I can think of and met are Beverly Burress, Cindy Noll-Murphy, Jennifer Schimdt,  Elaine Burns,  Megan Ludlow, Cindy Medina, Heather Irion, Denise Bennett, Heidi Faircloth, Beth Butler, Charlene Hunt,  Tomey Swan, and there are several more just can't think of all their names right now.

Plenty of quality female riders down in Aussie and NZ in galloping. When it comes to trotting one of the best drivers in the world, both male or female, in Kerryn Gath rules the roost in Aussie.

We have some in australia - they're not very good though. One, who I won't name cost the owners a win on a very rich race because she saluted the judge as she was crossing the line only to have another horse dive and beat hers by a millimetre. There was a photo of it in the paper the next day - it made her look very amateurish.

Greta Kuntzweiler and Rosemary Homeister raced in Ky, I believe they both still race (although I think Greta got a drug charge not too long ago, she may be out of the game)

There have been many. Julie Krone was the best female jockey of all time. She had the most wins and won the Belmont. She may have also won a Breeders Cup race or two.

Joy Scott has been a regular on the So. Cal. circuit for years.

of course there are!!!!!! there's loads!!! both my sisters are national hunt jockies (ride over those huge fences at break neck speeds!!) and at some race meetings here in ireland, the have specific lady riders races. its the same for the flat jockies!!
