  1. If you've got ocean and a beach you can get surf.  Galveston and S. Padre have thriving surfing communities.  You just need to adjust your equipment and style to ride smaller waves. Lots of long boarding although I have seen some video from Bob Hall pier going off that was impressive.

  2. well i liv in galveston and surf almost daily!

the waves are great for beginners and when we hav a hurricane or tropical distubance the waves get pretty narly.

its alot of fun but u should surf on a longboard b/c u can catch almost anyy wave with tha rite size board.

    hope this helps!

  3. Yes anywhere along the coast , but you have to have a storm front brewing up the gulf. Lots of folks surf near Galveston. Average waves unless we have a tropical depression.

  4. The only good waves come when there's a storm, My friend Kyle and I went surfing right before this huge tropical storm.... it was awesome... but I have to say the best waves are in California.

  5. No because in texas all we have is the gulf of mexico.

  6. yea try surfing in the water around a water body
