Well of course there is. I would like a few tips on how to deal with it. Are there any good websites you know of that deal with this issue. What about curriculums that are more suitable?

  1. Yes.  We create our own curriculum using online, library and used text books.

He is in the 10th grade.  He began homeschooling in the 8th grade.

I have days that I don't deal with it very well so I can't give you any magic words to say. (smile)

He is learning at home and he did not learn at school.  Homeschooling does away with the excuses such as: I did it at school, I lost it, I don't understand it, the teacher didn't explain it, someone on the bus took it, etc.

With or without medicine, he has some productive days and some 'la la land' days.

We feel blessed, even with the bad days, to be able to teach him at home.  We are relaxed eclectic style in our teaching.  If something doesn't 'work' for us, we back up and regroup and start again.  I took 3 days off from teaching last week just to take a deep breath, refocus, and take a fresh re-start.

The most suitable style learning for him is interactive computer lessons, video lessons, and reading together.

  2. Yes there are because my mom homeschooled me because I wasn't doing well in public school. I have ADHD. So we aren't that different.
