  1. use a really soft cloth, the kind that they use to clean glasses.

  2. It's called Water. I use a clean, soft cloth, that's DAMP, with warm water.

Wipe across the screen from the top down. Hold a rag with the other hand, to catch any accidental drip/s that might form from the bottom of the damp cloth. More than likely none will, but it's best to be prepared!

The warmth of the water helps to remove residue. Also is a good thing for the monitor screen, as it doesn't age it, doesn't harden it, and won't harm it. Most cleaners for this application on the market are alcohol based.

It's okay for a while, but eventually it hardens the carbonate composite screen. This is a pliable screen on the outside of the HD screen, and is a clear screen you look through. The actual screen that does the work, is inside.

I have used this method for years. I have recommended it on here for two years. (Used another internet provider. Long story, click on my avatar.) Recommended it once to a questioner, who's young brother threw peanut butter, and honey on his LCD monitor screen. Took it off!

(Gave me ten points for that answer, and emailed me a thank you!)

Edit: DO NOT use a paper towel! This will scratch the screen!

You won't notice it at first, but eventually the scratch marks build up so you can see them, and then it's TOO LATE!

Use a soft cloth, that's lint free.

  3. Wet a paper towel with clean ex and try that
