Are their any laws against owning/wearing body armor?

just curious since apparently felons can't own/wear it in texas.

Yes, some states also provide for enhanced sentences if you're caught wearing body armor while committing a violent crime.

Well if I'm ever in the RED STATES I'll be sure to wear it seeing as how they love to shoot Democrats left and right!!!

I've never heard of any and I don't know why there would be.  There's probably a website for reference of any applicable laws available for your state, if you look.  

A while back I remember it was a semi popular thing for parents to buy their young kids coats made of bullet proof material, to go to school in, in some neighborhoods.  

Pretty expensive though.
