Are their any snakes larger than a corn or ball python snake but smaller or same as boa constrictor?

Hello; have you considered an Irian Jaya Carpet Python or a Woma Python? Both species match your requirements quite well, are generally very docile, are interesting looking, relatively low maintenance, and are in the size range you are looking for.

Oh! if you'd like the over-all look and disposition of a Boa Constrictor but with a smaller size, and easier to accommodate care and maintenance needs; I would highly recommend a Hog Island boa. They are the smallest (averages four to six feet, though it isn't common for them to exceed five) and in my opinion the prettiest member of the Boa Constrictor family, and they have all of the great aspects of the Colombian Boa Constrictors and very few of the bad. :)
