Although I understand what you mean I think the first answerer has got a point, there are some very mature younger people who would enjoy sensible conversation.  You can normally tell the type of chat room by the title rather than by a set age group - for example anything entitle Rap or Hip Hop I would steer clear of because I know I would be totally lost, bored and would probably annoy the people already there, likewise politics, finance etc would normally attract a more sensible group of people, the ideal is to be with like minded people - whatever their age, and don't miss out on some fresh innovation because of setting age limits.
