Are therapists mandated to report self-harm? Do they have to submit a report to the authorities?

Certain professions are required by law to report child abuse. Medical professionals, teachers, cops, etc. Self abuse is not a reportable offense to anyone. My guess is the whole reason that person is seeing a therapist is that self abuse. Hopefully they are getting the help they need.
