  2. Highly unlikely. Contact the post-secondary institution and see what help they can give you - there must be an office of student affairs that would know this. But I doubt the gov't would help a student relocate.

  3. No.

    Why?

I'm a Canadian, and why should my tax money go to relocating you?  The government doesn't pay me when I move.  Why should it pay you?

Where are you from anyway?  Are you even Canadian?

  4. We moved within Canada years ago. No one helped us relocate but because we were moving due to employment we were able to recover some of our moving expenses at tax time.

  5. YES!  ...but you're not going to like the rest of what I have to say.....join the Canadian Forces.....they're the only Gov't agency that I know of that will help you move.....unless you're in witness protection......

One more possible solution (although it will take a year) is to claim a move on your next tax file.  Simply keep all receipts (gas, meals, moving truck, etc.) and state that it is for your employment.

    Good luck!

  6. I doubt it.  There might be one or two for very specific people in certain feilds to move to remote places.

If you are going to be attending post secondary there are all kinds of grants and scholarships availible from the government and private sources.  If you apply for lots you could probably get by without too much actual work.  Then hopefully find a related job.
