I am so tired of paying for these scam credit score companies and getting nowhere. According to sources, Fico.com/12 is the only legitimate place but they are so expensive to use. Do you guys know of another place to check your credit score thats legitimate with Real Scores?

  1. MyFico.com is the only place to get your real, up-to-date FICO score.  Yes, you have to pay for it.

You can get scores thru signing up for trial monitoring services like FreeCreditReport.com, and then cancel when you get your report and score.  But, you may not be getting a real FICO.  Some sites will give you Vantage scores which are a different scale.

You can get free annual credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com.  Get your report from one credit bueau every 4 months to spread them out.  This is a good way to monitor your credit report.  If the report info is correct and you pay your bills on time, the score will take care of itself.

By the way, just how often are you checking your score?  There really shouldn't be much change from one month to the next.

  2. If you have a WAMU credit card...you have free access to the TransUnion version of the FICO score only...that is the only way I know of to get a free FICO score......Otherwise, you have to pay around $15 for it.

  3. YOU MAY WANT TO TRY A LOCAL CREDIT/TAX SERVICE PLACE IN YOUR AREA, OR DO LIKE DID I TOOK OUT A LOAN AND JUST ASK THE PERSON WHAT WHAT MY CREDIT SCORE, AND HE TOLD ME, BUT HE WASN'T SUPPOSE TO THOUGH.

EVERYTHING ELSE THAT I SEE ON THE INTERNET YOU HAVE TO PAY AN ARM AND A LEG JUST TO GET YOUR CREDIT SCORE, IT IS REALLY RIDICULOUS.

    WELL I HOPE THIS HELPS!!

  4. Take a look at this site.. They offer a free credit report so you can see exactly what's going on with your credit.

  5. Ok, first off, I'm not an employee of creditkarma.com just started using them last week.

They provide a credit score for free.  They're funded by advertising revenue.  You don't have to sign up for any offers or anything to get the free score(of course they want you to so they get paid, but it's not required)

Oh and it only gives you a transunion score. Word is they're working on making it a three-in-one.

  6. You are right.  FICO is the only score system that matters.  All the rest are FAKE-O.

    So, try this discount code:

    MW01

I used it a little while ago and it worked.

Also, if you want to play around with a free fico simulator, try this neat site.  It's accurate.  The only thing is there is a 50 point spread.  It does give you a good idea though, of where you stand.

  7. www.freecreditreport.com You will have to put in your credit card but you can call in immediately after viewing and cancel it. You'll also receive an email cancellation confirmation.
