Question:

Are there Pizza Huts in Italy?

I have had some interesting answers to this question (which had nothing to do with the history of pizza, by the way.) I was only curious to know if there were Pizza Huts there. Ah, mama mia!

Why shouldn't I eat American fast food in another country anyway? I have lived in China for the past few months and... Oh, wait, I still hate American fast food so that doesn't apply...

  1. No because there is no need for them. Pizza is just about everywhere in Italy.... you don't need to go to a chain to have it.

  2. No but you won't miss it!! Avoid places made for tourists though. Oh, and if you need a fast-food piazza, there is Spizzico there. They have a decent pizza and try the arancini too! Yummy! :-)

Then, if you're in the US, I can make you taste a very good pizza that I make myself. My husband used to love pizza hut, now he forgot what it is! LOL

  3. probably not. italian pizza is soo much more better that that pizza hut c**p

  4. At the risk of a million thumbs down

The pizza in Italy is not the same as Pizza Hut, or any other pizza place in North America. We may been old, but we missed good food there. (Even the week with a tour that took us to supposedly good upscale places)

My heart jumped in Naples when I saw the McDonald's at the train station

Loved everything, and I can do with less food anytime

  5. No,but they do have pizza's

  6. lmao

    rotflmao

  7. Why do you wanna eat some american fake pizza when you can taste real pizza at every corner in italy?

Hut's sucks, but if you want at every cost eat in some fast food chain...try Spizzico or Pizzo'

  8. Pizza exists in Italy from when America was only a land full of Native American only. (Only to answer the two 'intelligent' people)

  9. No, absolutely not!!!!!!!!

Nobody would go to Pizza Hut in Italy!!!!

Italians know how to make the greatest pizza in the word!!!

  10. There isn't Pizza Hut in Italy.

Now, if you wanna go to Italy and eat American fast-food, the only USA's food chain in Italy is McDonald's.

Differently from Germany, France, UK and other European nations, Italy doesn't have Kentucky Fried Chicken, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, Wendy's...

But really, you won't miss them. Pizze, espressi and Capuccini  are everywhere, and you couldn't don't love pasta!

However, I'm really happy that Italy is free from USA's chains, I like USA, but the food you eat is really difficult to eat. :D

Do you need any other clarifications?

  11. Pizza Hut is banned from Italy. It was determined that the presence of this restaurant would destroy 1000 years of culture, good food and Italian tradition.

  12. I doubt it. pizza isn't really italian its an american invention

  13. it would be like selling ice to the eskimos.

  14. No, but they are in France, Germany, Greece and Poland, among others.  But, don't you dare eat fast food from home when you're travelling abroad !!!

  15. No there are no Pizza Hut's in Italy. However, there are thousands of Pizzeria's everywhere where they serve the real Italian homemade pizza

  16. No

  17. i doubt it. they have SO MUCH better pizza over there! =D

  18. NOOOOOO!!!!!!   there is no american pizza place in italy.....italy prides itself in their pizzas, so thy wouldn't use the crappy american pizzas.....but dont worry, b/c the pizza in italy is soooooooo much better than the american pizza....and u'll be able to find a pizzaria on like every street...

  19. pizza casa

  20. No way.

Apart from thousands of pizzerie and some kind of fast food like Spizzico where a decent pizza (better than pizza hut, although not at the same level as in a true pizzeria) are servied, you can also easily find takeaway pizza ("pizza al trancio") shops almost everywhere; they're different from a true pizza, a little closer to American one. It's a sort of "McDonald for pizza", the difference is there isn't one big brand but a lot of unconnected shops.

There also are shops like that offering a home delivery service: they are more and more all along Italy, and you can generally find both kind of pizza ("true" pizza and "pizza al trancio").

I'm always amazed reading about people still convinced pizza was invented in America... pizza actually started spreading worldwide after WWII, but that's all.

Instead, checking the origin of the words "denim" and "blue jeans"  would be a shocking experience for somebody...
