I wouldn't say that, but I am curious why there is support for the death penalty and pro-life? Nowhere does it say "thou shall not kill, except....it says thou shall not kill and there is no way to get around it....never understood how you could support both...

Real Republicans are atheists.  They lead Christians in the South around like sheep but their real agenda has nothing to do with 'family values' or any of that.  Their real agenda has to do with concentrating wealth and power.  This is why they exploit issues like abortion, prayer in schools, the Ten Commandments in courthouses, etc. etc, but never actually DO anything about them more than posturing for political gain.

Actually I guess you wouldn't call them atheists but idolatrists--they worship Mammon.

It seems that most of us are more to the left politically, but I do know a few conservative or Republican atheists.

Yes, my wife is.  And I am a Catholic Republican.  Strangely enough, we are happy together.  Does this baffle you?
