Question:

Are there Tendrils in Mung Beans?

My biology teacher told me there was, and hopefully she wasn't mistaking them for something else. Because the beans that I'm sprouting haven't gripped to any of the objects in the container.

Why is that? (This is for an AP Biology experiment by the way.)

  1. I don't think Mung bean plants produce tendrils. Mung beans are a type of bush bean (Vigna radiata). It grows about 3 feet high maximum.

You would not see tendrils on the sprouts anyhow.

(other beans in the same genus do produce tendrils, Azuki beans for example)
