Are there a lot of racist people in Texas?

I always hear that Texas is still a racist place, and a bad place to live? Would you agree with this? Any Texans out there or people who have visited Texas? I live in a very open minded state (California), so i was just wondering. Cuz i would not be able to stand that.

  1. If  you're  a  criminal  and  indulge  in  that  kind  of  lifestyle,  then  you  might  want  to  stay  away,  cause  if  you  commit  a  crime  here,  you  will  get  caught  and  you  will  be  judged   for  the  crime,  even  if  it  means  your  death.  As  far  as  I'm  concerned,  thats  the  way  it  should  be.

  2. Unfortunately, there are racists in every state.  I wouldn't say there are "a lot"; Texas is like every where else, it's got a few crazies and a few racists and everything else.

Really, most Texans have that "Southern hospitality" thing going.  I've lived in a lot of states and I honestly think people have been more friendly in Texas than in just any other state I've been too.  There is also a lot of that Texan pride too; which, if you aren't that in to, could get annoying.

I really love it here though.

  3. No way. I stayed thier everybody's really friendly

  4. No!!! Texas is a mellow state like Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California.

It's not a trashy southern States where people sit out in there porches and drink Pabst beer all day.

  5. Well we just have different views then Californians.

    Therefore, we clash.

    But were not that racist.

The whole state isn't racist tho.

Its not a bad place to live.
