I'm on Weight watchers and thought to bring popable 94% fat free popcorn but won't bother if there may not be microwaves. We will be staying mostly at hostels. And they do not say on the website if there are microwaves.

  1. Oh dear God - of COURSE there are microwaves in Europe.  Yes your hostel will have one.  We also have ice cream and oddly enought fat free popcorn.

  2. Actually, I think you are asking if one can expect to find microwaves IN the rooms?  in hostels?  Like in a motel in the US?  I didn't see any in the rooms at hostels, but our apartments had them...we traveled around a bit in Spain, and stayed in five different places.  I didn't see a hostel with one.

International Youth Hostels?  Check with their website.  Just put International Youth Hostels into the search, and it should come up first.  They have communal kitchens.

And, yeah, Ice cream in Europe!  almost always fresher and better than in the US!  (for the price, anyways...you go into a shop and they have made it right there on the premesis...none of this central dairy, hundreds of miles away stuff...tastes much better!  Surely you can find something that's low-cal in most shops.)
