Are there age restrictions for when someone can work at a pizza place, different for male, and female?

I have been working at a pizza place for sometime now. However, I wasnt able to work the oven until I turned 18. We got this new kid at our work, and he is only 16. Recently, he has been getting some of my hours, but Im not quite sure what he is doing there, since I didnt think he could use the oven. Is it possible that females, and males have different ages that they can use the oven in a pizza place, and I wasnt aware of it?

discrimenation file a complant based on gender. but be aware if they cut your hours look for a new job you are thu just file complaints with the corporate hq
