Are there air gun laws in Ohio?

because recently some one called the cops on me for target shooting in my backyard. I was only shooting at a pellet trap that traps the pellets inside so it wont hit anyone or anything. Well i was wonderning what the laws are on pellet guns that go 1000 fps. Is that counted as a deadly weapon? I really dont know. I live in westerville, Ohio so I really dont know the laws about firearms or pellet guns?

Best advice would be to call the Westerville Police deparment and ask. Each town can have their own agenda as to what is dangerous and at 1,000 foot a second, that could easily be termed as dangerous.

There are gunlaws everywhere.  Look on the NRA website they have a state-by-state guide to the countries gun laws.
