I've finally decided to fulfill my lifelong desire of becoming a vegetarian and want one last too-good-for-words hamburger in the Dallas, TX area. Now I'm not talking about chain restaurants here, I'm talking about that good ol' hole-in-the-wall amazing diner, drive-in or dive. Do you have any suggestions?

  1. There is Adairs which is near Deep Ellum- it is definately a big greasy hole in the wall by day- h****y tonk by night.

A close second would be Kellers- I believe it is off of North West Highway. It is like the orignial Sonic except everything is better, greasier, and they sell cases of beer!

  2. Well i dont know about a diner per se but Burger island has amazing big juicy burgers haha...There is one in richardson and another somewhere else but im not sure where! They have amazing burgers! If you find out about a reall diner let me know because i LOVE that show but im alwasy so sad they never had one around dallas! BOO.

  3. Fat Daddy's Burger

    9540 Garland Road

    Dallas, TX 75218

    214-324-1800

This Casa Linda joint has a loyal following. On Thursday nights you'll catch the biker crowd; they park their Harleys in the lot and catch up on gossip. They come for Fat Daddy's burgers, giant hand-formed beef patties with a bun that's not too thick and not too thin, accompanied by seasoned steak fries and a generous condiment bar for $5.99. The big surprise: Order the burger at Fat Daddy's, and you get two free beers. Seems the owner decided he'd come out ahead by giving beer away rather than paying for a liquor license to sell it. Decide you want a soft drink or tea? Gotta pay extra for that. It's actually cheaper to drink beer than a Coke. Fitting with the self-indulgence of eating a cheeseburger with fries, there's something decadent about that.

  4. Adairs - great burgers,  very much a hole in the wall.  Cheap beer too.  Down in deep ellum.

Milo Butterfingers (greenville, behind Kroger, just north of mockingbird).  Get the chili-cheese burger.  Also, 8 dollar pitchers of shiner.

    good luck.

by the way - I love animals too - they taste great!!

  5. My fav is Hole in the Wall - literally!

    11654 Harry Hines Blvd

    Dallas, TX 75229-2203

  6. Try going to applebee's or a local diner. I've just came back from Texas and their the best.

  7. Well if it is your last beefy burger you might as well go the extra mile and drive to just this side of Lake Tawakoni on Hwy 276 to Mz. Dales and order the "Big ***" burger. I guaranty you will never forget this one. Forget the fries, you won't have room.

Last Sunday I drove 90 minutes to get there from Carrollton.

  8. snuffers on greenville or the londoner pub in addison

if you're looking outside ft worth, in justin there is a grill called the justin grill that makes good burgers
