  1. Yes.  The Tesla Roadster - a high performance 100% electric sportscar!

  2. http://www.zenncars.com/

In fact, they have them for sale in Ames, Iowa about 30 miles north of where I live.  They cost about 13,000 dollars and top speed of 25 MPH - they must be driven in a 35 MPH and under area.  They also require "0" maintainance costs.  They are actually pretty neat - totally quiet and zippy as h**l.  Check it out!

  3. Yes. They are called Golf Cars.  I hope there can be 100% electric cars that we could actually drive long distances over 30 mph.  It would be wonderful to not have to use gas for much of anything.

Just checked out the site Ashton posted. The Zenn car.  Now that looks pretty cool.

  4. Your best bet is to wait 3-4 years for the Chevy Volt or wait 2-3 years for the next generation of hybrids.  Prius will probably sell a plug-in hybrid within two years.  Honda has a very sporty two-seat hybrid that looks like it may go into production in 2-3 years.  The Toyota ABAT truck could possibly get 70-80 mpg if it is produced in 3-4 years.

  5. Feel Good Cars (the company is listed on the Toronto stock exchange, symbol ZNN.V and in the USA Over the counter:FGDCF)

Phoenix Motorcars Inc is based in California and makes electric cars and pickup trucks.  Their web site: http://www.phoenixmotorcars.com

  6. Zap sells some and is working on more.  Our local TV station did a report on local people buying them just last night.
