Are there any 'career' in the paranormal that people actually get paid for?

  1. There are very few *honest* paranormal career options.  Many people who are able to make a living must rely on grants or fundraising in order to earn any sort of a paycheck.

  4. i think ppl are too skeptical to rely on paranormal information..

    i find it really interesting to see what ppl discover about crimes and stuff that actually turns out to be true.. crazy

  5. that is a really good question...I think that you could become like a paranormal investigator where you investigate aerial objects, report UFOs, and research

    UFOs, Ghosts, Alien Abduction and etc. but, I think that you could have a career in the paranormal.

  6. John s you tell every1 to be an atheist.. Im an atheist but doesnt mean dont beleve in this stuff. Doesnt mean i have to believe in it in a religious way.. There are many other theories on why this stuff happens that dont relate to relgion

  7. Get a TV show. Best way to get paid. Or become a paranormal investigator at a holistic detective agency.

  10. I've heard that dousing is used to locate mineral deposits.   If that it so, it is a skill that would be worth some money.

  11. If you become a priest..I'm sure you'll be dealing with a lot of paranormal things. They pay for your upkeep and also you get to travel. But you shouldn't do it to get involved in the paranormal. You should do it for the RIGHT reasons.

  13. Yep there certainly is.  I'm seeing a clairvoyant on Tuesday evening and it's costing £25 for the reading.  That's alot of money if you're doing 8 hours a day.

  14. I really wish that there was a career for paranormal investigators. It's a lot of work when you do right. But it's all worth it when we help our clients.

    The only way to make money is if your psychic and you can charge people for readings.

At one time people interested in the study may become voluntary field reporters for for the Psychical Research Foundation by writing to the PRF Duke Station in Durham NC.  When they hear of a case and is unable to send an investigator at the time and it is in your area, they will send you instead.  But I do not know if they compensate you.  They investigate different paranormal areas, but are most interested in poltergiest activity.

  16. ghost busting, being a psychic medium... you can get big bucks but only do it from the heart and if you are confident about what you are doing..

  17. The only person I know who gets paid to do it is Joe Nickell, who works with CSICOP.  And he's much more of a skeptic than a believer.

  18. If there is an honest to make money at this I love to know about it, other then working for the CIA.  I'd just settle for someone paying for the equipment.

  19. We do it to help people and we don't get paid. But maybe one day when it is considered a "legitimate" field of research, there will be opportunities for pay!!
